Who we are and what these terms cover
Garage Door Reaper repairs, maintains and installs residential and commercial garage doors and openers across Dallas-Fort Worth from its office at 1008 Ridgefield Dr, Plano, TX 75075. These terms apply to every appointment booked by phone at (214) 307-6420 or through a form on garagedoorreaper.com, and to the information on this website. By booking service you agree to them. Updated September 15, 2026.
Prices on this website are ranges, not quotes
Every price on this site is a typical Dallas-Fort Worth service range published to help you plan. It is not a quote for your door. Door size and weight, spring type and cycle rating, opener model, panel style, track condition, parts availability and the scope you approve all move the final number inside or, in unusual cases, outside the published range.
Your price is set by the technician after inspecting your door system and is confirmed with you before any approved work begins. The number you approve is the number on the invoice. If the technician finds something during the work that changes the scope, the work stops and you get the new price before it continues.
Estimates, inspection and your right to decline
The technician inspects the complete system, explains what failed and why, and lays out the repair options with prices. You may accept any option, ask for a different one, or decline all of them. Nothing is done without your approval. Any service call or inspection fee is explained by the office when you book, before anyone is dispatched, so there are no surprises when the technician arrives.
Estimates given over the phone or from photos are preliminary and are confirmed on site. Written estimates for larger jobs, such as a full door installation, state the scope, the parts, the price and the validity period.
Same-day service and scheduling
Same-day appointments are offered when a technician is available and are never guaranteed. You receive an arrival window when you book, and the technician calls ahead when the previous job runs long. If you need to reschedule or cancel, call as early as you can so the slot can go to another customer. Repeated no-shows may result in a service call fee being required before a new appointment is booked.
The 12-month warranty
Parts we supply and work we perform are warranted for twelve months from the date of service against defects in the part or the workmanship. If a covered part fails or a covered repair does not hold in that time, call us and we return and correct it at no charge for the covered item.
The warranty covers only the parts we supplied and the work we did. It does not cover other components of the door or opener that were not part of the job, damage from vehicles, storms, hail, water, misuse, lack of maintenance or work by others, doors or openers that were already at the end of their service life when we repaired one part of them, or parts supplied by the customer. The technician explains exactly what is and is not covered before you approve the job.
Customer-supplied parts
We can install parts you purchased yourself when they are safe and compatible with your door, but we cannot warrant a part we did not supply, and labor to remove and replace a customer-supplied part that fails is billed. If a customer-supplied part is the wrong size, weight rating or type for the door, the technician will tell you and will not install it.
Payment
Payment is due when the work is completed unless a written estimate says otherwise. Accepted payment methods are confirmed by the office when you book. Larger jobs and custom-ordered doors may require a deposit before parts are ordered; the deposit and the balance are stated on the written estimate. Special-order parts and custom doors cannot be returned once ordered.
Access, safety and your property
Someone 18 or older must be present to approve the work and provide access to the garage. Please move vehicles and belongings away from the door and tracks before the technician arrives. Garage door springs and cables hold heavy tension, and for your safety we ask that you keep children and pets out of the garage during the work.
We treat your home with care. If you believe our work damaged your property, call us within seven days so we can inspect it and put it right. Our responsibility is limited to the repair or replacement of the item we damaged or, at our option, the cost of that repair, and does not extend to indirect losses such as lost time or lost use of the garage.
Website information
The articles and pricing guides on this site are general information for Dallas-Fort Worth homeowners and are not advice about your specific door. Garage doors and springs can injure you; do not attempt spring, cable or drum work yourself based on anything you read here. We update the site regularly, but a price or detail may lag behind a change in parts costs, and the confirmed on-site price always controls.
Disputes and governing law
If something goes wrong, call the office first at (214) 307-6420. Most problems are settled with a return visit or a conversation with the owner. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute that cannot be settled between us is heard in the courts of Collin County, Texas.
Frequently asked questions
Is the price on the website what I will pay?
No. The site shows typical DFW ranges for planning. The technician inspects your door and confirms the exact price with you before any approved work starts, and that confirmed price is what you pay.
What if I decide not to go ahead after the inspection?
You can decline any recommendation. Any service call or inspection fee that applies is explained by the office when you book, before the technician is dispatched.
What does the 12-month warranty cover?
The parts we supplied and the work we performed, for twelve months. It does not cover other components, storm or impact damage, customer-supplied parts or doors that were already at the end of their life.
Can you install a spring or opener I bought online?
Sometimes, when it is safe and compatible. We cannot warrant a part we did not supply, and if the part is wrong for your door the technician will not install it.
Do I have to be home?
An adult who can approve the work and give access to the garage must be present. Moving cars and belongings away from the door before we arrive speeds up the visit.
